Welcome to Ed. 4800

Welcome to Ed. 4800. This course experience is designed to help you document your knowledge of teaching. To facilitate this process, we will be utilizing the google suite of resources. This Web 2.0 set of resources allows you to create documents, share work, and collaborate in a free and easy to use environment.

This environment is available where ever their is a link to the internet. As teachers are expected to create a web presence for their instructional settings. This experience will provide an example of how easy and effective this practice can be for your future teaching experiences.

Understanding Google Resources

After you have created a google account, explore the various resources available on google.  On the main page is a "take a tour" option.  The tour is a good way to get a general orientation.  The features that will be most useful to you are gmail, google documents, blogspot, and picasa.  Enjoy your exploration.

Orientation Assignment - Due May 6
To insure that all students can access the course web page and have established a google account, each participant needs to complete the orientation assignment. (click on this link to see assignment page).

I will be available in the Ed. Computer Lab on April 30 (reading day) from 1 - 2 for anyone who needs additional assistance.
